The Downloader app installs our StreamTV TiviMate app or the original TiviMate app on Fire TV and NVIDIA Shield. Set it up once, then all you need is the app's download code.
- Fire TV Stick 4K Select, HD (2026) and 4K (2026)These sticks run Vega OS. Downloader and outside apps can't be installed there. To check: Settings › My Fire TV › About – if it says “Fire OS”, it works.
Fire TV NVIDIA Shield Download codes
On the Fire TV
- Go to Search in the main menu and type “Downloader”.
- Open the Downloader app by AFTVnews and tap Install.
- In Settings › My Fire TV › Developer options, allow Downloader to install unknown apps. If Developer options is missing, open My Fire TV › About and press your device name seven times.
- Start Downloader and allow access to the file system.
- On the start screen, enter the download code of the app you want to install.
On the NVIDIA Shield
- Open the Google Play Store and search for “Downloader” – the app with the white arrow on an orange background.
- Tap Install and grant the permissions.
- Start Downloader from the apps menu and enter the download code.

Good to know
- For outside apps, we only list codes that lead straight to the maker's app.
- Make a backup in the app before every update. Backups can't always be moved between app versions.
