A fast speed test doesn't mean the route to our server is clear. Your data passes many stations; if one of them is overloaded, it stutters – even though your connection is fast.

What you can do

  1. Restart the router – that fixes small glitches.
  2. Use an Ethernet cable instead of Wi-Fi.
  3. Switch the server address: Backup URL instead of Main URL runs via another provider and so via another route (which address when).
  4. Briefly try a VPN with another country – that forces a different route.
  5. If it stays like that, report it to your internet provider – only they can change the route.

Good to know

  • The speed test only measures the distance to the nearest test server, not to us.
  • If the data packets arrive unevenly, your player's buffer runs empty – that's the stutter.
  • Temporary bottlenecks often resolve themselves.
